Does Asian get skin cancer ? Yes, they do. Given enough sun damage, especially during childhood, any one could get skin cancer later in life.
This is a basal cell carcinoma (BCC) above the right eyebrow of an Asian patient. Its main features are small dilated blood vessels (red lines) on the surface. This BCC is half “pigmented” with a slightly darker colour on its upper half. BCC, however, is mostly pale, skin coloured lumps with a shiny smooth surface.
