Hypertension May Be Less Easily Controlled In Patients With Psoriaris.
MedWire (4/8, Guy) reported that, according to a study published in PLoS One, “hypertension is less easily controlled in patients who also have psoriasis compared with non-psoriatic hypertensive patients.” In a study encompassing “835 patients diagnosed with hypertension and psoriasis, and 2,418 age-, gender-, and body mass index (BMI)-matched hypertensive controls without the skin condition,” researchers also found that “psoriasis patients with hypertension were treated with far greater numbers of antihypertensive therapies than their counterparts without the skin condition.”
